Unity Garments was created in 1972 as a locally-owned operation and haven’t changed our principles; establishing ourselves as a market leader. Over four decades of experience and expertise in garment manufacturing has seen our products exported to South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe and DRC, as well as overseas to the developed Far East and America.
Our range spans from security uniforms, to casual clothes and durable safety gear. In fact, our protective clothing ensures Zambia’s cradle of opportunity and growth in the mining sector remains intact. Unity manufacture, to order, 90 per cent of the industrial clothing for Mopani, Kansanshi, Lumwana (Barrick Gold) and Kalumbila mines.
Working alongside industrial operations of this scale and importance to our economy brings with it a responsibility we are glad to hold. There can be no substitution for quality. We engrain a culture of high standards in our production process, maintaining quality along each stage of the assembly line. Our workforce – blending youthful exuberance and experience – are trained rigorously to uphold customer satisfaction. All the while, minimising production and delivery time.
We work closely with our business partners, paying attention to their specific requirements, identifying their needs and providing solutions. There is a heavy emphasis on modernisation and state-of-the-art equipment attend to every detail – whether it be stitching, zipping, embroidery or printing. We pride ourselves in the diversity and flexibility we offer.
The smooth running of this operation is owed in no small part to our trusted factory manager. Under his guidance individuals of our community are empowered with their skillset, knowing they are in a safe working environment.
